We know that the risk of homelessness can be drastically reduced with professional mental health counselling.

A mental health crisis

The cycle of homelessness often worsens existing mental health issues, making it increasingly challenging for individuals to secure permanent housing.

Over the last two years we have seen a huge increase in demand for our counselling services, with nearly 1000 people contacting us for help across Pembrokeshire.

Ongoing support

Sessions are purely on a one-to-one basis and can be held in-person or remotely online. We also run monthly group workshops about particular topics relating to wellbeing and mental health.

Ultimately, we want to get you to the point where you feel happy and confident without the need for counselling, but we're here for you every step of the way until you achieve that.

Counselling can help you:

  • Understand your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours.

  • Develop coping mechanisms and self-care.

  • Improve your relationships with others.

  • Make positive changes in your life.

  • Improve your overall well-being.

  • Increase your overall happiness and mental health.

"With suicidal thoughts, a diagnosis of ADHD and no place to live, I felt so alone. A little bit of support and counselling has helped, but I have a long way to go.”

"Julie stopped me from overdosing and supported me through a crisis. I am now under the care of the crisis team, and I am so grateful for the support and care you have shown me."

"My mental health has improved since starting these sessions and I feel I can better recognise and understand my emotions. I’m keen to do more counselling sessions in the future to further improve my self awareness and mental health."

If you're struggling with your mental health, we're here to help.

Our team of BACP-accredited counsellors offers full assessments and support. This can be online, in person, or over the phone to fit your needs.

We also provide a wellness programme for clients and staff, including mindfulness and self-care workshops.

We understand that taking the first step can feel overwhelming, but we make it simple from the very first conversation.

Counselling gives you a safe, supportive space to explore your challenges, understand your experiences, and take steps toward greater well-being.

It’s a journey built on trust. We help you reconnect with yourself, your relationships, and your life, at your own pace, in a caring environment.

Funding our counselling

Pathway Counselling is funded by The Hywel Davies Legacy Fund, Moondance Foundation, and other sources for the next 12 months.

However, we get dozens of people contacting us seeking help with their mental health every single week. We want to ensure we can help these people and provide assistance quickly as a long term service.

Donations from local businesses and the public help us achieve this. Donate what you can afford to today so that we can continue to provide this vital service in Pembrokeshire.
