Numeracy Project Organise ‘Go Out, Give Back’ Wellbeing Trips
Last week our Numeracy Project learners organised three inspiring wellbeing trips, each aimed at fostering mindfulness, creativity, and community spirit at Coppett Hall in Saundersfoot.
Each day involved litter picking to keep our beautiful coastline clean from rubbish and collaborating on creating artwork in the sand.
Above all else, the trips demonstrated the positive impact of education beyond the classroom for Pembrokeshire as a whole.
The weather was very cold, but each learner wrapped up warm and embraced the Welsh winter.

Rachel Shiamh, of Quiet Earth, helped the learners create fantastic artwork in the sand at each session.
This activity was fantastic for their mental health and a great reward for their hard working picking up all of the litter.

A big thank you must also be extended to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park for providing the wheelchairs to enable access to the beach for all learners.
One learner, Sue, hadn’t been on the beach in over five years and so was delighted to be able to go down to the water, help create the sand artwork, and pick up litter thanks to the wheelchair which was provided.

We are immensely proud of our learners for their dedication and enthusiasm in shaping these wellbeing trips, and for all of their hard work and success over the last year as part of the Numeracy Project.
