WHY LEAVE A LEGACY FUND TO PATH?

Knowing what to do with your estate can be a complicated topic, but we believe that leaving a legacy fund to PATH is a sensible and worthwhile decision.

  • Supporting PATH with any amount will go directly to helping those facing or experiencing homelessness in Pembrokeshire.
  • Your legacy will fund our projects that will have a long term positive impact.
  • You don't need to be rich to leave a legacy donation, we accept donations of all sizes.
  • All gifts in wills are tax efficient, as no inheritance tax is paid on gifts to charity.
  • Your money will be spent wisely - our accounts are fully audited and transparent.

MAKE IT CLEAR

When leaving a legacy donation to PATH, please make it clear in your will where the money is to go.

In January 2024, a solicitor joined our team at PATH and will be able to answer any questions about leaving a legacy fund.

Please use the contact form on our website or give us a call to discuss your legacy funding.

HYWEL DAVIES LEGACY FUND

The Hywel Davies Legacy Fund stands as a testament to the enduring impact of one individual's generosity and compassion.

With the funding from Hywel Davies, PATH was able to take a significant step forward in addressing mental health needs within the community, and set up a free mental health counselling service  - Pathway counselling. The funding from Hywel Davies made a profound impact, making it possible to reach 161 people and complete over 1000 counselling hours. This has catalysed Pathway Counselling's impact, and since its inception in 2022, 750 people have been helped with their mental health through counselling, drop-in counselling sessions, and a wrap around service of support including workshops, support groups and well-being training days.

Thanks to the Legacy Fund, we were then in a position to get extra funding from the UK SPF, which has now resulted in more than 30 counsellors providing a service, including full-time, part-time, and casual positions, Pathway Counselling has grown from strength to strength, embodying Davies's vision of a community where mental health help is not only prioritised but also readily accessible to all who need it. Together, we uphold his legacy by ensuring that mental health support remains at the forefront of our efforts to create a healthier, more resilient community.

Hywel Davies's heartfelt wish was to donate his legacy to mental health support, recognising the pivotal role that it plays in fostering well-being and resilience among individuals and families. By directing his legacy towards this cause, Hywel Davies's legacy continues to contribute to our impact in the community.

Through the Hywel Davies Legacy Fund, we honour his legacy by continuing to provide vital counselling services and support to those in need. Together, we carry forward his vision of a community where mental health help is prioritised and accessible to all.
